A Warsaw Icon Since 1958
Opened just after the post-war reconstruction of the historic center, Pod Samsonem has remained a fixture of Warsaw’s social life for over six decades. Our restaurant is located in the legendary "House Under Samson" (Kamienica Pod Samsonem) on Freta Street. Interestingly, between 1804 and 1806, this very building was home to E.T.A. Hoffmann, the famous author of The Nutcracker. Today, we carry on the legacy of hospitality in one of the most beautiful corners of the city, located just steps from the Royal Route and the Barbican.

Our unique atmosphere is no accident. The interiors were designed by renowned Polish stage designers Marek Lewandowski and Marcin Stajewski, famous for their work with prestigious Warsaw theaters like Ateneum and Współczesny. The decor feels like an elegant stage set, blending historical artifacts with a cozy, welcoming ambiance.
